On behalf of the Charles R. Drew Medical Society, I extend warm greetings to you all. As the Los Angeles affiliate of the National Medical Association (NMA), we are honored to carry forward the mission of promoting health equity, improving outcomes, and advocating for justice in healthcare.

The National Medical Association (NMA), the oldest and largest national organization representing African American physicians and their patients, is dedicated to:

Promoting health equity by working to eliminate disparities and creating a more inclusive healthcare system.

Improving health outcomes, especially in underserved communities.

Providing reliable information to empower individuals to make informed health decisions.

Advocating for parity and justice in medicine.

Educating through health initiatives, professional development, and public outreach.

As president of the Charles R. Drew Medical Society, I, Nikki Perez, MD, am deeply inspired by the work we do in collaboration with the NMA to uphold these values in the Los Angeles community. Together, we strive to build a healthier, more equitable future for all.
